Visit Bath

Bridgwater House, 2 Terrace Walk, Bath BA1 1LJ, UK – 01225 614420

Lovely, friendly and helpful staff with good knowledge on places to visit and plenty of accommodation recommendations. Friends were pleased with the helpfulness received during July 2016. The gift shop has plenty of unique items on offer from local artists. Worth including the gift shop on your shopping trip to Bath for great souvenirs/ gifts for loved ones as some items they stock are not readily found in other shops.

I got a map so we could do the Skyline walk.

C The World

21-22 The Corridor, Bath BA1 5AP, UK – 01225 418100

Thanks for the great service and organising our great holiday to Maritius. My girlfriend and I had an incredible trip and you made it so easy to book. We'd never have found this amazing beach lodge on our own! We will definitely be back! Cheers!

"Huge thanks to C The World for all the help putting my family holiday together. You made it all so easy and we had a super time".

Bath Aqua Glass Shop

Loverly shop, I bought a vase that was beautiful and took my eye immediately, loads of things inside at all prices to take a quality piece of bath home with you 😁

Great locally made glass products. Always a pleasure shopping here.

Boat Moorings & Marinas

Bath Marina & Caravan Park

Brassmill Lane, Bath, Bath Somerset BA1 3JT, UK – 01225 424301

We enjoyed our stay here and found this site to be very good as it met most of our needs. The site sits adjacent to the Marina and tow path. The tow path provides easy access to the Bath to Bristol cycle path and access to the nearby pub restaurant that is next to the Park and Ride to Bath city centre. The tow path can be used to walk or cycle to the city centre and another pub restaurant. The pitches on site can be a tight fit. No shop on site. Showers and toilets good. A play and recreation field sits beside the park. My wife I recommend this park.

Bath marina and caravan park is brilliant plenty of drinking water points around the site Two sets of toilets and washing up facilities but only one sink in each. A laundry room with ironing board washers and dryers. Freindly staff ideal for the boathouse pub which is just a couple of minutes walk along the towpath. About 45 minutes to walk in to Bath which had the carnival on during our visit. Pitches are a decent size area is completely dog friendly including them pubs. The lock public house is about 15 minutes walk which is great on a nice summers day. I would definitely recommend this site.

Boat Trips & Excursions - if available

Pulteney Cruisers

Forester Road, Bath, Bathwick BA2 6QE, UK – 01225 312900

Pleasant cruise with some nice views. Yes there are some views of electrical pylons but don't let this put you off.

A pleasant trip up and down the Avon. Friendly and reasonable price.

River Adventures Limited

Postal Address Only, Suite 190, 3 Edgar Buildings, George Street, Bath BA1 2FJ, UK – 07904 290981

We did the quick (up and back on the River Avon) and enjoyed it. We learned some interesting facts about Bath that we wouldn't have otherwise and saw some of the sights from the river which was a treat.

Paul, the Captain was excellent, helpful, informative and interesting. Although it's a short trip, it's well worth it. We went during an extremely cold spell with snow everywhere, but the boat was warm and the glasses of Prosecco went down very well!

City Sightseeing

Bath Spa Railway Station, Dorchester St, Bath BA1 1SU, UK – 01225 444102

The best way to see a lot of sights if you have limited time, probably the most affordable and easiest as well. The tour gives you two circuits with your ticket and is a great way to cover a lot of ground in the city as well as the outskirts. Plenty of photo opportunities on this double deck bus tour. The buses have an on board audio tour on multiple languages and ear buds are included. Both circuits originate very near one another so it's easy to transition from one to the other.

Fantastic tour. Took in both the City Tour and Skyline tour. Carol was the tour guide for the City Tour and was very informative. The commentary went on for the entire tour covering the history, architecture and people behind it all. Robert was the guide for the Skyline Tour and was himself the highlight of the tour. The humourous, entertaining and informative commentary did not stop from the moment we got on the bus to when we stepped off. Beautiful scenery and architecture. These tours were the first thing we did when we got to Bath because the toue bus stop was directly across the street from the train station. It gave us an overview of the city so we knew what sites we wanted to explore over the next couple days. I highly recommend this tour.

Local Parks & Gardens

Prior Park Landscape Garden

Ralph Allen Dr, Bath BA2 5AH, UK – 01225 833977

Its a nice place not far from the centre of bath its a bit of a hike uphill though. There is no parking around the park so we parked at the centre and walked up. There is a disabled parking at the bottom. Cafe is nice serving hot and cold drinks and cakes. You can have your coffee by the lake which is nice.

Breathtaking view to Bath, if you can get away from groups, it is a nice, peaceful place. We a spent about 3 hours here and walked around the whole park. I would recommend this place if you like nature.

Sydney Gardens

Sydney Rd, North East Somerset, Bath BA2 6NT, UK – 01225 394041

A lovely spacious city park. Plenty of shaded areas on a sunny day. An interesting activity schedule throughout the year. Great for viewing trains and accessing the museum and canal towpath.

A really peacefully garden in the centre of Bath. Extensive lawns in an informal setting. Great for picnics, dog walking & children. Attached to the Holbourne museum of art which also has a lovely restaurant & includes a large terrace.

Alexandra Park

Shakespeare Ave, Bath BA2 4RQ, UK – 01225 394041

The most incredible views of the beautiful city of Bath that you can find, and completely free. Family oriented place, with plenty of sitting to rest your legs and to really take in the views. The park is dog friendly as well, with some bays to park and a public toilet, although it was not very clean!!. The park has easy access and it is step free.

This top of the hill park has a stunning view of the city below. You will need to drive to reach here and although parking is available, it is not so easy to find a parking spot because it is always full of cars, which also detracts from the view. The place is quite windy as well

Great website!. Click below to find gardens open during the year around Bath or Somerset. There are photos and lots of detail about the garden.
